This sounds like a good idea, let's run with it

The next morning my wife and I remarked to each other that it was a pretty good idea and decided to spend some time in the morning to explore the idea.

My wife contacted enough assistance groups in Houston to confirm that no one is really in charge at this point, everyone thought it was a worthy idea, and by the time the truckload arrives, we will sort out where it should go and how.

So, somehow I was appointed the coordinator and started to run with idea. We got good feedback from a few people. Particularly, Alan Goodwin, Principal of Walt Whitman High School in Bethesda, MD offered to join the effort and serve as drop off point and storage. We were off and running. Dan Bennett, Principal of Bradley Hills Elementary School also offered support and dropoff.

From the amazing DC Urban Moms group (which as a stay-at-home-this-year-Dad) I had joined recently, came Lisa Cohen and Erin Reitkopp with their ideas and energy and they got me so pumped up it started to roll.

Thursday evening we launched idea to 300 parents at Walt Whitman parent night for freshmans and Jackie decided she was willing to introduce idea for a few minutes.

That evening an email went out to Walt Whitman parents and DC Urban Moms around 11pm.
